Arches, and Tulle, and Boutineers, Oh My!

Yay!  We decorated the arch today!  Also, boutineers, take two!

 First, we painted it silver

Look!  It's zebra print!

 

Putting them on this way was Bob's idea =)

 

Then we added INCREDIBLY glittery silver to the front

 This is Torrie, she's a little silly

 I made a bow!

The boutineers were falling apart, so I had to remake them, much cuter now.

Fun fact of the day:  "Boutineer" is a strange word, and kind of hard to spell. . . . in fact, I'm not sure if I've spelled it correctly at all.

Official!

We picked up the marriage license yesterday!  And got a photographer!

Woo!!!!  10 days!

He meant just a few minutes!

Ball of flowers for Caitlyn!  It's bigger than she is!

Also, I've finished making paper stars, and filled vases and such.  AND. . . Mom's made the flower girl dresses and they are really cute.  AND. . . . I have my dress, and my bridesmaids have their dresses, and everyone's fits and everything!

Whew!  I think that's about it for now, but who knows, I may post more later. . .

Flower Girl Baskets!

Today was basket making day!!!!!!
We even managed to find silver baskets, which I then put ribbon and stars on.

     These were the only baskets with handles in the entire store, luckily they were silver.

 This teal trim is a very strange texture.  Kinda like crunchy velvet.

I decided they needed stars, too, so I painted some on.

Painting the Chrysanthemums Blue?

So after about a week of trying to not be disappointed that my flowers are not quite the color I wanted them to be I had a brilliant idea. . . I shall dye them all to make them the right color!  Easy, right?   Well, turns out it wasn't too bad, but 336 flowers is A LOT of flowers.  But, I got them all finished and hopefully they will be dry before it starts raining. =\  Much happier with the color now!
Anyway. . . here are some pictures of the beginning of the process.  Later in the day half the table was covered in about 5 bowls of flowers soaking and the other half was full of flowers laying out to dry.

Fun fact of the day:  It is not easy to get blue dye off your fingers if you are stupid and don't wear gloves.
